Elli is a 16 year old girl born with cleft lip with involvement of the nose. Dr. Reinisch performed nasal reconstruction and lip revision following her cleft lip repair from a previous surgeon. Both Elli and her family are very happy with the results. We want to thank Susan and Paul for sharing the wonderful letter to Dr. Reinisch and updating us with the photos of Elli.

Once again, we want to thank you for sharing your amazing talent with Elli and our family. Yesterday in the car, Elli told me that she is very happy with the results of her surgery in October. It is huge for us to hear this from Elli, and it means the world to us that she is happy. As you know, I was worried about altering her lip, but Elli and Paul convinced me because Elli was unhappy that her lower lip stuck out further than her upper lip. Her lips now look proportional, and her smile looks beautiful. Elli said she is happy with the change to her upper lip.
In addition, Elli says she is breathing much better than before the surgery. The changes you made to her septum seem to have made a significant difference.
Paul and I are also thrilled with how beautiful Elli's nose and lip look. I honestly do not think people will notice at this point that she was born with cleft lip. The plumping of her lip looks very natural, and her left side profile now looks nearly identical to the right. Beautiful work!
Elli's nose is holding tight on the left side — remains even with the right side when looking at her straight on. If it's not 100% straight, I can't tell — it certainly is not noticeable when interacting with Elli. I doubt she will get questions about her nose going forward. She will always have the scar on her lip, but she honestly likes (and is proud) of her scar, so that's OK.
I have attached photos here, but the most important photos are the shots of Elli interacting with family. She is a beautiful young lady, and we are thrilled that she will no longer feel self-conscious about her nose and lip.
We are so grateful that Dr. Hoffman referred us to you. What I loved about the photos of your other patients, and what I see in the changes you made with Elli, is that everyone looks so natural. It's an incredible gift that you give to your patients. You've given Elli her natural beauty. Thank you.
