We Welcome Out-of-Town Patients Who Travel for Microtia Surgery
Microtia is a rare condition that affects children from all around the globe. As Dr. John Reinisch has unique experience treating this condition, many patients seek out his expertise and knowledge to help guide them through their surgical procedure. To assist out-of-town patients who travel for microtia treatment, we can arrange for lodging and accommodations near our clinic in Beverly Hills, CA. In addition, we have a multilingual staff to assist non-English language speakers. Whatever your family's needs, we can create a customized treatment plan to help ensure your comfort and confidence throughout treatment.
For our patient's convenience, we have teamed up with the Ronald McDonald House to provide accommodations for families traveling for medical care.
Patients from the United States
Patients from within the United States typically come in for the surgical procedure and return to our Beverly Hills, CA, office after two weeks for the first dressing change. After this second visit, most patients can continue follow-up care with a local physician or general care practitioner who will remain in contact with Dr. Reinisch. We are always available for further follow-up appointments should complications arise, but most of our U.S. based patients need only visit us twice.
To assist with your travel costs, Reinisch Plastic Surgery can pay for two nights at the Four Seasons Hotel, located conveniently near our clinic. Contact our office to learn more about our local area and how to arrange your travel and accommodations.
Reinisch Plastic Surgery welcomes patients from all over the world. As a pioneer in the field of microtia surgery, Dr. John Reinisch is pleased to provide effective surgical reconstruction for the patients in his care. It is an honor to be able to share this life-changing treatment with patients from many cultures and nations, and we do everything we can to ensure our patients' travel experience is as pleasant as possible.
Our international patients usually stay in the area for three to four weeks. Because it may be difficult to return to the United States if complications arise during healing, it is best for patients to remain under the doctor’s care until he is satisfied the treatment is successful. This time frame includes the time required for consultation, surgery, and the first bandage change two weeks after surgery. It also allows for an additional one to two weeks to monitor healing and regeneration.

Reinisch Plastic Surgery partners with the Ronald McDonald House of Southern California, which provides accommodations to families traveling for medical care. In addition, Dr. Reinisch maintains a network of local families who are willing to host patients and their families. This is an excellent resource for patients who do not have lodging, and we will be happy to help you connect with those in our community.
